L&R Debrisoft wanted to redesign an existing app used by their sales team. The app was used to demonstrate the healing effects of their treatments to prospective buyers. As a result, one of the key requirements was that the app included a bit of 'magic' and supported the capability for showmanship -i.e. when the treatment is passed over an image of the wound, it heals.
Understand - we reviewed the existing app to understand where it fell short.
Design - we started the design process, mocking up several versions, to give the client the opportunity to choose.
The app went live for the sales team and the client was satisfied that sufficient improvements had been made.
Some of the images below display graphic injuries which have been blurred out.
The original app clearly displayed a male figure. There was poor colour contrast between the fonts, the illustration and the clickable hotspots. Additionally there was no consistent navigation - meaning that the way to progress was different on each page.
The injury page did not provide any extra details about exactly what kind of injury it was, how long it might take to heal or what the next steps were. We ensured there was space for this information in our new design.
The process to 'heal' the injury did not provide any sense of how long it might take to clean the wound, and it wasn't always easy to tell which of the wound cleaning options were selected.
